thesun.co.ukAN SAS Who Dares Wins recruit feared his wife was going to die in a serious car crash that left him with PTSD. Tom Boulden, 33, and wife Helen, from Plymouth, were involved in a life-threatening head on collision in 2019.
Physically Tom walked away almost unscathed while Helen spent two months in hospital with spinal injuries. While she has since made a full recovery, Tom has suffered with anxiety and depression.
He decided to test himself on the new series of the Channel 4 show in a bid to raise awareness around male mental health struggles. "I wanted to show that being honest about your struggles and being vulnerable is a strength," he said.
