Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Former Manchester United duo Roy Keane and Gary Neville believe the Reds' transformation in fortunes has been triggered by Erik ten Hag forcing his players to run in sweltering conditions in the aftermath of their 4-0 defeat to Brentford last month.
United, who posted a fourth successive Premier League win for the first time since April 2021 with a 3-1 triumph over table-toppers Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, were cut to pieces by the Bees in just their second game of the season.
It was an embarrassing performance from the Reds, leaving them bottom of the table. The performance and manner of it was so poor that Ten Hag demanded his players to report for an unscheduled training session at Carrington the following day.
The Dutchman forced them to run 13.8km - the difference in distance covered by Brentford - in sweltering temperatures.
