THREE of Britain’s leading pop stars have talked about being racially abused from as young as seven. The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock and fellow chart-topper Emeli Sandé speak out in documentary The Talk, about how black parents have to warn their children.
Rochelle, 31, sobs as she recalls a classmate saying she was not invited to her birthday party “because she was black” — prompting her to try to “scrub her skin off”.
