Comedian Ricky Gervais has donated two benches to Scots parks as a part of a mental health campaign to mark the launch of Netflix's After Life season three.
The actor teamed up with suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) to place benches where people can talk, listen and reflect at 25 locations across the country.
Inscribed with the words 'Hope is Everything', the wooden benches also feature a QR code that link to online resources for those who may be struggling, Wales Online reports.
Two benches have been placed in Scotland, with one in Glasgow Green and the other at Edinburgh's Calton Hill.Written, and directed by Gervais, After Life became an instant hit with audiences following its release in 2019, covering issues such as grief, loss, depression while offering moments of great humour at the same time.Series 3 aired on Friday (January 14) and the bench in the graveyard remains a pivotal part in the show., as it is where Tony (Ricky Gervais) talks to Anne (Penelope Wilton), his graveside confidante.
