Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

RICKY Gervais' interview on The One Show was thrown into chaos as his beloved canine co-star bolted off the set mid-interview.

The After Life actor joined hosts Alex Jones and Alex Scott on Monday night to talk about the latest series of his hit Netflix show.

Ricky, 60, opened up to viewers about the reasons behind him writing After Life and how he found inspiration from thinking about losing his own wife, Jane.

The comedian was joined on the green sofas by his on-screen pooch Anti, who sat patiently next to him through most of the interview. "The final chapter of After Life was released on Netflix at the weekend," Alex, 44, began, gushing over it becoming the "most popular British comedy" in a decade.
