Residents say ‘horrific’ cladding replacement works is so loud they are having to take medication to cope

For the latest Trafford news sign up to the MyTrafford newsletter here Residents living in a social housing tower block say the noise caused by cladding replacement works is so bad they’ve been forced to take medication.

Construction work at Grafton Court, managed by housing association Trafford Housing Trust (THT), is set to end this September.

But some residents say the toll of the works is affecting their physical and mental health. Grafton Court, Empress Court, Clifford Court, Princess Court and Pickford Court in Old Trafford all had ACM cladding covering part of their exterior, the same kind that was on the Grenfell Tower in London before a blaze killed at least 72 people in 2018.
