Popular south Manchester community hub launches fundraiser to help create new outdoor space

A campaign to help fund an outdoor area at a former library building in south Manchester has launched. Levenshulme Old Library, on Cromwell Grove, has been running as a centre for arts and culture since it reopened in 2018.

The building counts All FM, the Owl and Coconut mindful art centre, and the Levenshulme Youth Forum as some of its long-term tenants.

Organisers now want to expand the community art hub by installing an outdoor area which will be used by the many groups that use the library. "What we really want to do is create something that everyone can benefit from in some way," Laura Deane, Building Co-ordinator for Levenshulme Old Library CIO, tells the Manchester Evening News.
