The horrific incident took place on Welkin Road, in the early hours of Tuesday March 23. It's understood the woman was walking home along a public footpath behind Brindale road in the direction of Brinnington Road when the attack took place at around 5.40am.
The assault took place near to the tunnels under the M60 and the men then ran from the scene. Both men are described as being dressed all in black and wearing balaclavas.
