He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

PHILLIP Schofield stunned This Morning viewers today with a filthy innuendo – leaving Holly Willoughby and Alice Beer gobsmacked.

The presenter introduced Alice's upcoming segment on the ITV show when he gave fans a thrill with the racy comment. Consumer journalist Alice was reporting live from London landmark The Shard about bars opening post lockdown, and Phil found it hilarious.

With a mischievous look on his face he laughed, and said: "How are you allowed to be taken up The Shard?" Alice wasn't prepared for Phil's spontaneous banter, and said: "I'm sorry?" Laughing off the awkward moment she added: "I got the lift!" Viewers praised Phil for putting a smile on their faces just after 10am.
