Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.

PETA confiscates three more lions from Jeff Lowe’s ‘Tiger King’ zoo

shuttered in August.According to a press release Tuesday from the animal rights organization, three juvenile lions were taken after PETA won a lawsuit last month against Lowe’s former business partner Tim Stark.

Stark had transferred the lions to Lowe, PETA claimed.A fourth lion was also moved from Stark to Lowe, although “PETA recently learned that she died under suspicious circumstances,” the press release said.
