Personal Independence Payment (PIP) receive between £23.70 and £152.15 per week from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to help with daily living costs and moving around outside the home.

To be eligible for the benefit, which is paid every four weeks in arrears, you must have either a disability, a long-term illness, or a mental or physical health condition.

How much benefit you receive is determined by how the condition affects you on a day-to-day basis and not the condition itself.

PIP is made up of two parts - a daily living component and a mobility component, you may be able to claim one or both of these depending on your circumstances.
