NASA officials have confirmed plans to shoot a new movie onboard the International Space Station with Tom Cruise.

Earlier this week (begins May 4, 2020), Deadline reported the Mission: Impossible star was plotting the first feature film to be made in space and, taking to Twitter, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine confirmed the plans. “NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station!” he penned. “We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.” Tech mogul Elon Musk is also reportedly on board with the project, alongside his Space X partners.
