Michael Schumacher’s former racing boss has given a rare interview about the Formula One legend eight years after he suffered catastrophic injuries in a skiing accident.
Jean Todt, who worked with the now 52-year-old at Ferrari, gave a hopeful update while chatting to Corriere della Serra, saying that he regularly speaks to Michael.
He told the news site: ‘I don’t leave him alone. Him, Corinna, the family – we’ve had so many experiences together. The beauty of what we have experienced is a part of us and it goes on. ‘ Michael suffered severe brain injuries while skiing in the French Alps in 2013 and was put in a medically induced coma for six months.
