In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Kayti Edwards, who was intimate with the Friends actor and then stayed close to him in the 2000s, alleges she agreed to collect drugs for Perry to protect him as he struggled to get to grips with his crippling drug problem.
Kayti said she is delighted that the star now has a handle on his addiction and found happiness with fiancée Molly Hurwitz, who he announced his engagement to last week.
She described him as being unlike any celebrity she'd met, saying: "He's funny, easy-going, and I just felt really comfortable around him.
