Manchester United legend Gary Neville has slammed the Premier League for their approach during the coronavirus pandemic, following a controversial few days for England’s top-flight.
On Friday, following a meeting with the EFL, PFA and LMA, the Premier League issued a lengthy statement, which suspended the top-flight indefinitely and pledged £20m to the NHS.
A sum of £125m was also handed to EFL and National League clubs but it only represented an advanced payment rather than an increase, which many feel is required to combat against the loss of funds due to the suspension of the season.
