Gary Neville says Harry Kane fits Manchester United's historical transfer strategy of targeting the Premier League's best homegrown players.
The MEN revealed at the start of this month United were unmoved by Kane, 26, casting doubt on his future with Tottenham Hotspur since they have prioritised more attainable targets ahead of the summer window.
Spurs sources also told the MEN over a week ago there was 'no chance' of United signing Kane since he is contracted to the club until 2024.
Following weekend reports linking United with a £200million move for Kane, Spurs moved to clarify they had no intention of selling Kane to United or any of their Premier League rivals.
