Sancho, 21, has agreed personal terms in principle and an up-front fee of €85m (£73m) has been settled on, with Borussia Dortmund attempting to extract up to €15m in add-ons.
Discussions are ongoing about the structure of the payments and the majority of the add-ons have been described as 'achievable'.
Dortmund are also believed to have insisted on add-ons depending on United possibly winning the Champions League. Manchester City will receive 15% of the Sancho fee
