Dozens of police officers swarmed to the scene yesterday afternoon following the incident on Seedhill Road.It’s understood the man was ‘slashed and stabbed’ in the violent attack following reports from neighbours on the busy street.The man, whose age is not known, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.One woman who lives on Seedhill Road, told the Express that police were stopping people leaving their homes while they cordoned off the area.She said: “The police won’t let my son leave his building to go to work.“The man was slashed in the face and stabbed in the upper torso area.”Passers-by reported that dozens of police officers were in the area just after the attack took place around.
