Fife. The alarm was raised yesterday at around 6.45pm last night after reports of an injured person on the tracks. British Transport Polic e raced to the line near Burntisland along with mercy crews.
Sadly the man as pronounced dead at the scene.The tragic incident is not being treated as suspicious. All trains on the route, which also serves Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen, were temporarily suspended as British Transport Police officers dealt with the tragic incident.
British Transport Police said: "We were called to the line near Burntisland at 6.45pm on Sunday 24 January following reports of a casualty on the tracks."Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene."This incident is not being treated as.
