Hal Holbrook, All the President’s Men and Into the Wild star, dies at 95

Beverly Hills home on January 23. Best known for his decades-long role as American novelist Mark Twain, Holbrook also starred in a string of critically acclaimed films including All the President’s Men and Into the Wild.

Most recently, he appeared in TV series Grey's Anatomy, Bones and Hawaii Five-0. Over the course of a career spanning more than 60 years, the Hollywood star was nominated for an Oscar and a Tony award.

His role in ‘Into the Wild’ earned him the Oscar nomination for best supporting actor in 2008. Hal Holbrook was one of those actors whose presence added so much to any film he was a part of, big or small.

His talent was immeasurable & to have a career that spans over 7 decades is a testament to just how damn good he was. RIP,.
