Love Island's first winner Jess Hayes has revealed that there's a reason so many winning couples don't make it long term after leaving the villa. The reality star, now 29, won the first series of Love Island in 2015 with partner Max Morley, however the couple split just a few months after leaving the villa.
Following the news that last year's winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon have split, Jess has shared the reasons she thinks many couples don't keep their relationship going for very long following the end of the show.
She shared that making public appearances following the show can sometimes alter the dynamics of couples' relationships – something she thinks may have happened to Millie and Liam.
Jess shared: “I feel like you're so young when you go in there. And, I'm not gonna lie, the boys just want to be boys. “I'm not saying that girls are any different, but the boys want to go out and do their thing. "They’ll go to loads of PAs [public appearances], tours of nightclubs, and go together with the other boys while girls are throwing themselves at them.
