Animal rights activists have vandalised a portrait of King Charles at an art gallery in London. The campaigners from Animal Rising overlaid the portrait - a stunning oil painting of His Majesty donned in the Welsh Guards uniform - with an image of Wallace from the beloved Wallace and Gromit series.
A speech bubble was added next to Wallace, containing a brief message that reads: "No cheese Gromit, look at all this cruelty on RSPCA farms!".
In a statement, Animal Rising revealed that two members had entered the Philip Mould gallery around 12pm today before placing posters over the painting. "One poster covered the King's face with Wallace, from the popular Aardman stop-motion animation, while another was a speech bubble reading "No Cheese, Gromit.
Look At All This Cruelty On RSPCA Farms!" the statement further explained. The activists expressed their intention to highlight an investigation into 45 RSPCA Assured farms.
