Fans of the Royal Family were delighted by new photographs of Kate Middleton in January. Released ahead of the Duchess’ 40th birthday on January 9 2022, a trio of beautiful portraits showed our future Queen in a whole new light. The striking photographs - shot by Paolo Roversi in November 2021 - entered the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection but one year on, they’re on the move to a venue near you.
Each portrait will enjoy an adventure out of London and they’re set to be displayed in small venues across the UK from March 22.The tour - free to all - is part of Coming Home, an exciting project by the iconic gallery, which sends portraits of iconic people to places that mean something to them. This way, local communities can celebrate their heroes on home turf.
It’s set to offer a huge boost to tourism - especially regional galleries and museums - and give more people a chance to see art they’d otherwise have to travel to London to view.
So where can we get up close to the stunning shots? From March 22 to April 5, the black and white portrait showing Kate seated in profile view will be displayed at St James the Less Church in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
