A Perthshire snack producer is looking to hire more than a dozen new employees as it prepares for its next phase of growth.Mackie’s Crisps is aiming to recruit at least 15 new full-time factory workers at its site in Inchcoonans near Errol including machine operators, drivers and a quality controller as demand for its products builds.Over the course of 2021 Mackie’s has started regularly producing around 500,000 packs of crisps a week, up from an average of 275,000 packs a week last year.James Taylor, managing director at Mackie’s at Taypack, which makes crisps under the Mackie’s of Scotland brand, reckons the upcoming expansion of the workforce comes at “crucial point” in the company’s growth.He said: “The past 18 months have laid the
