James Jordan says he will never return to Strictly Come Dancing with wife Ola as they’re ‘too fat, slow and old’

JAMES and Ola have ruled out ever returning to Strictly as competitive pro dancers. The couple, who have been dance partners for more than two decades, made their names on the smash-hit BBC1 series but these days they view themselves as very much the old guard.

Quizzed on a return, James says: “No, not now. I’m too old, too fat and too slow. Let the young ones do it. I like watching them.” The prime-time series will be on our screens later than planned this year due to Covid-19.

It will kick off in October and feature fewer dance pairings. James is not surprised the BBC has pulled out all the stops to ensure it features in its autumn schedule and thinks that despite its shorter-than-usual run, celebrities will still be desperate to take.
