Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.
Piers Morgan

ITV Britain's Got Talent issues response to 'racism' claims over veteran performer

Britain's Got Talent has responded after the show's return was hit with 'racism' complaints. It was a big weekend for the ITV talent show as it made a big comeback after two years away from screens.

Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams were back on the judging panel after the programme was disrupted in 2020 and then cancelled in 2021 due to the ongoing restrictions throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

And to make the return of the hit show, fans were treated to two episodes on Saturday and Sunday night packed full of auditions and the selection of the first two golden buzzer acts.
