Alec Baldwin has released a statement after he was involved in an accidental shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza, on the set of the movie Rust.

In the statement released by Baldwin, Alec described himself as being ‘heartbroken’ at Halyna’s death. ‘I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family,’ Alec wrote in a post that was shared to both his Twitter and Instagram accounts. ‘My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,’ he continued.
