A jealous thug blamed a month long catalogue of domestic violence on his girlfriend's decision to abort her child. Jayden Knight, 27, who said the decision affected his mental health, has now been locked up for 22 months.

During the several incidents, Knight spat at the woman and pulled her trousers down, as well as attacking her. He also threw a can of lager over her, and 'forced her to lap up' a drink from the floor 'like a dog'.

Judge Elizabeth Nicholls told Knight, who has previous convictions in relation to other former partners: "You are a liability in the context of domestic violence."
