GUY Ritchie’s plans for a millionaire’s holiday camp have hit a snag over fears the lights will scare barn owls on his land.

The film-maker, 51, is building luxury cabins on his £9million estate so he can hold shooting parties. But council conservationists are demanding he protects barn owls that roost at the property in Tollard Royal, Wilts.

Ritchie must put up two boxes for the birds to nest and has to get permission before installing any lights that could scare away wildlife.

The luxury cabins were approved — but only on the basis they are removed after two years. Ecologists said, if the camp became a permanent fixture, they would need to investigate its effect on bats.
