Golden Globes are going to address the lack of diversity among its voters during tonight’s ceremony. Many high-profile figures have been speaking out on the fact that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which decides the ceremony’s winners and nominees, doesn’t have a single Black member.
Ava DuVernay, Sterling K Brown and Kerry Washington are among the stars to have shared a post featuring the phrases “A cosmetic fix isn’t enough” and “#TimesUpGlobes” ahead of the show, which is being hosted tonight (28 February) in both New York and Los Angeles.
Other stars to have shared the post include Jennifer Aniston, Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and Jurnee Smollett, who is nominated for Lovecraft Country.
