Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 38-year-old singer took to Twitter to tell fans that she has been battling the illness since earlier this year.

In a heartbreaking series of tweets posted this morning, the popstar said that the cancer has advanced to other parts of her body in recent weeks.Sarah said she is fighting ‘as hard as she possibly can’ as she continues to undergo weekly chemotherapy sessions.

The star also posted a picture of herself in hospital. She said: "I hope you are all keeping safe and well during these uncertain times.

I've not posted on here for so long, thank you to everyone who has reached out to check in on me, it really does mean a lot."I feel now is the right time to share.
