Fearless fundraiser tackles munro challenge for Maggie's Lanarkshire

A determined fundraiser raised £1400 for the cancer caring centre which provided her with valuable support by taking on a hillwalking challenge.

Linda Lennon climbed to the summit of Ben Lomond on December 18 – marking a year to the day since she underwent surgery for breast cancer – and used the occasion to raise money for Maggie’s Lanarkshire.She was joined on the 974m climb by her two daughters and four of her friends; and they now plan to take on another munro, Ben Dubh, in the spring.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Linda was delighted to raise the impressive sum for Maggie’s Lanarkshire cancer caring centre, based at Monklands Hospital in Airdrie, which provides emotional, practical and social support for people with cancer and their loved ones.
