The star, whose hot track Brace It, with Ishawna, is out today, said: "It's the worst thing that could happen," but thanked fans for coming to see him even though his mentor 'Elton John, Glastonbury and Diana Ross were playing.' He added that he was 'truly honoured,' fans chose to come and see him.
A reveller told The Sun: "Ed was such a hero. You could see he was disappointed his mic and ear pack stopped working, but still carried on playing his guitar like a true showman.
