Dumbarton Parkrun fanatic admits he hated running before launch of Levengrove event
dailyrecord.co.ukon. “I think it’s good to give yourself a challenge and I wanted to see if I could get myself into the mindset of someone who can go on an empty run.“It didn’t happen for a long time though but now I’m enjoying it in a way I never thought possible.”For Levengrove Parkrun co-event director Anna Napier, the virtual events come at the ideal time of year.She explained: “Parkrun have put a real focus on the first eight weeks of the year and helping people to get out and get active when we need it most; on the cold, dark days of January and February.“I really hope that anybody who is maybe a lapsed Parkrunner uses January as an opportunity to get back out there, even if it’s using the Couch to 5k app which I’ve been using or going out for a walk.
