Officers were en route to an emergency when they came across the man on a pushbike cycling along the motorway, which is used by more than 50,000 vehicles a day.
Police removed the rider from the motorway and have reported him. Greater Manchester Police Traffic said on Twitter on Saturday morning: “#XT84 was going to an emergency when they came across this pedal cyclist cycling along the #M60. “Rider stopped and stated his maps told him to go on the motorway as it was the quickest route. “Rider removed from motorway
