Coronavirus: Virgin Atlantic plane grounded on Prestwick runway

Here is a picture of a Virgin Atlantic plane grounded on Prestwick Airport's runway today.A number of Virgin Atlantic aircraft have landed at the airport as the coronavirus hits the aviation industry.

At least two huge Airbus planes are parked up at the Ayrshire airport and it is understood other aircraft could arrive.There is the potential for the airport to become a parking lot as airlines need space for out of service planes with nowhere to go.

The  Virgin A340-600 series is one of the longest civil aircraft ever made and normally flies from Heathrow to the US. Spotters have been taking shots of the recently landed planes.
