Police were called to Regents Park on Ordsall Lane at around 7.10pm on Tuesday evening (June 8) to reports of a stabbing. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital where he remains with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Enquiries from detectives at Salford CID have suggested the victim was involved in an altercation with four men who had got out of a black Seat Leon and then assaulted him.

The vehicle was later traced back to an address in Moss Side and seized. Two men, aged 18 and 19, were later detained and taken into custody for questioning on suspicion of
