Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world when they announced they were stepping away from royal duties in March 2020, prompting internet hackers to hold their Archewell website to ransom in April that year.

The hackers took control of the domain name http://archewellcharity.com/, which turned out not to be the official Archewell domain, to demand Prince Harry came back to the UK, and vowed not to relinquish the website until their demand was met.

The hacker’s statement read: "We will surrender this domain upon the immediate and safe return of Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex to Her Majesty's United Kingdom.” Underneath that was the address of Buckingham Palace.
