Today, Chancellor Rishi Sunak will deliver his first Budget to Parliament. The statement will address pay, plans for taxes, pensions, public spending, the economic forecast and negations with the EU.
But following the outbreak of coronavirus, this year's budget will be delivered at a time of national crisis forcing Sunak to also address its impact on the economy.
Once the budget has been presented to the House of Commons outlining the governments plans, MPs will vote on whether to accept it.
But as Boris Johnson holds a majority of 80, this year's budget is likely to pass. Chancellor Rishi Sunak will stand to deliver his budget today (Wednesday, March 11) at 12.30pm.
