Sweden striker John Guidetti moved into the Manchester City youth set-up in 2007 – and progressed through the ranks to the senior squad.

As a 16-year-old, he’d been much sought-after, with Inter, Sampdoria, Lazio, Roma and Ajax Cape Town all interested in signing him.
