Tom Hardy transforms into ageing gangster in Capone trailer

Tom Hardy transformed into an ageing and ailing gangster in the trailer for upcoming crime film Capone. The British actor plays one of America’s most notorious criminals in the movie, starring as Chicago mob boss Al Capone.

The trailer shows a bald and ill-looking Hardy as FBI agents accuse him of feigning dementia to avoid paying tax on his ill-gotten gains.

Originally developed under the title Fonzo, Capone’s synopsis states:  “The 47-year old Al Capone, after 10 years in prison, starts suffering from dementia, and comes to be haunted by his violent past.” Capone director Josh Trank shared the trailer on Twitter and revealed it will arrive on streaming services on May 12.
