Our Agony aunt, Deirdre Deirdre, teamed up with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to encourage people to join our army of volunteers and support those feeling cut off and isolated this Christmas.
Deirdre said: "At The Sun we are so conscious that one in five people are going to be alone over Christmas and maybe it’s happening to you. "You can volunteer, you can go online and do it, it's so easy, to nhsvolunteerresponders.org.uk and you can volunteer to either have a half hour phone chat with somebody or do something for someone, their shopping or collect their medication."
