The mum who left her Chorlton home for a walk and never came back

She walked out of Bolesworth Close, a quiet cul-de-sac bordered by mature trees beyond which lie Turn Moss playing fields. The last person to see her was her daughter, Lola, then 23.

She had thought her mother had gone to meet her brother, Jacob, 25, for an autumn walk in nearby Chorlton Meadows as dusk approached.

But Jacob waited in vain with the family's West Yorkshire terrier, Mable, for his mother to arrive in Ivy Green, a woodland area near footpaths, and playing fields, about a ten minute walk from the family home.
