Football clubs are always trying to get an edge in the transfer market.In such a bloated market where the big clubs are looking at spending a minimum of £40million for player to go straight into their first team, they need to ensure they aren't going to be gazumped by other clubs looking to get a deal themselves.
Over the last year Chelsea have signed the likes of Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic and are likely to add more players in the summer - or whenever the transfer window opens after the current crisis.
