The 'terrifying' scene was captured on CCTV in Nelson, Lancashire, on Sunday morning (March 8). Footage shows the pedestrian jumping out of the way as the silver Ford - with two women inside - flipped over and hurtled past them.
The skidding wreckage narrowly avoided hitting the member of the public by a 'few steps' before smashing into three shops on the side of the road.
A 28-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following the incident, Lancashire Police confirmed. Najma Kalsoom, 43, and her daughter were driving on the opposite side of the road when they spotted the vehicle whizz past.
