People longing to get back to the Bonnie Banks will be able to set sail on a virtual cruise to help raise funds for a historic paddle steamer.To mark 67 years since the Maid of the Loch first started taking tourists on a journey to some of the loch’s most stunning scenery, the Loch Lomond Steamship Company are offering everyone the chance to step back in time to 1953 while helping to preserve the iconic vessel’s future.Last month the Loch Lomond Steamship Company (LLSSC), which owns the Maid, revealed hopes of getting her sailing again could be dashed by coronavirus, with her doors remaining closed at what is usually the busiest time of year for tourists visiting the loch.The potential blow came after more than £1m was raised to help.
