Super Mario Maker before Nintendo shuts down the servers.Super Mario Maker was released in 2015 for the Wii U and allowed fans to upload player-made levels to an online hub, as long as they could actually be completed. In 2020, Nintendo confirmed it would be winding down support for the game, with the online hub closing on April 8.The group known as ‘The 0%ers’ started their task of completing every level of Super Mario Maker in 2017, with more than 40,000 fan-created stages to beat.Now with just over a month to go, ‘The 0%ers’ have 347 levels to go and have launched a dedicated website to track their progress.

Pikmin 4 is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch, and will release sometime in 2023.The game was announced during today’s (September 13) Nintendo Direct Stream, alongside a brief trailer. While the trailer really doesn’t give anything much away, series creator Shigeru Miyamoto said that the game would allow fans to experience it from “a new perspective.” The trailer, interestingly, already offers a new perspective on the Pikmin – showing them at ground-level for the first time.“Nintendo Switch has made controlling the game simpler, meaning you can concentrate on the core essence of Pikmin gameplay,” said Miyamoto.

Nintendo is a short time away from phasing out 3DS and Wii U eShop games, according to an email from a developer.According to a report from Nintendo Everything, a source claims to have received a memo detailing the end of submissions for the 3DS and Wii U eShops. The deadline is allegedly April 1, 2022.The full email, supposedly received by Impact Game Station, reads:“We herewith wish to inform you that it has been decided to cease the acceptance of submissions for new Nintendo 3DS / Wii U titles for eShop release by the end of the current fiscal year (effective from 1st April 2022).

Nintendo has announced it will no longer accept card payments on the Wii U and 3DS eShop from January 2022.Nintendo quietly announced the change in policy on its Japanese customer service account. The tweet states: “Notice of ‘Termination of use of credit cards and electronic money for transportation at Nintendo 3DS series and Nintendo eShop in Wii U’ has been posted.”Support will officially end on January 22, 2022.
