Sainsbury's is set to bring in security guards to ban shoppers who refuse to wear a mask in store as supermarkets are urged to tighten rules.In an email sent to customers, the supermarket giant said it would 'challenge' people shopping in large groups or not wearing a mask in a bid to tackle soaring coronavirus infections.The retailer joins Morrisons who yesterday vowed to clamp down on those who refuse to wear a mask while shopping, unless they have a medical exemption.It comes as supermarkets are being warned to toughen restrictions on rule breakers in a bid to stop the spread of the new virus variant.NHS Test and Trace data in November revealed supermarkets were the most common place to catch coronavirus, with 18.3% of people contracting.
