Rutherglen man delighted to secure dream job

Rutherglen man, who was out of work for four months and had no career prospects, is celebrating his first year in his dream job.

Tony Khan, 63, had previously worked at a local bus depot, and had owned an Indian restaurant.But after personal circumstances forced him to leave his last job, he decided to change industry.He said: “I wanted a change, and when I contacted Remploy they were able to give me an overview of the services they offered, as well as the explaining the range of employment options I had.”Tony had always had an interest in security as a career, and had obtained the Security Industry Authority badge (SIA).He sought Remploy’s support in securing employment in this sector.He said: “Remploy’s support helped me find a new career.
