Charles Ingram
Charles William Ingram (born 6 August 1963) is an English novelist, computer repairman, and former British Army major who became known for being accused and convicted of cheating on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001, after winning the maximum prize of one million pounds. Following a lengthy trial at Southwark Crown Court, he was convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception. He was convicted of an unrelated insurance fraud in 2003, and ordered to resign his commission as a major by the Army Board.

THE original Charles Ingram cheating episode of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire is set to be repeated in full 19 years after the scandal unfolded.

Following the monumental success of ITV's Quiz, which dramatised the coughing controversy, fans will get to see the real Ingram in the hot seat as he works his way up to the million pound question.

ITV tweeted the news on Wednesday, posting: "'80% of the time I'm wrong when I guess, so I'll go Craig David'. "Watch this story unfold on QUIZ & see everything for yourself on THURSDAY!" They added a clip of Charles pondering the £32,000 question: "Who had a hit UK album with 'Born To Do It', released in 2000?" After several minutes of indecision, the disgraced former army Major heard his wife Diana.
